Hide files/folders.

How to hide any file or folder (without any software) in Windows.

Do you want that no one opens your personal files OR folder or hiding your files from your mates so that they can't copy your files, OR any other reasons to hide your files or folders.Then follow these simple steps to hide files/folders.

Let's Start.....

1.Right click the file/folder and select PROPERTIES which is the last option in the dropdown.

2.A 'file properties' window will pop out .Select the 'General' Tab in the properties window.

3.Go to 'attributes' section under General Tab.

4.By default the option 'Read-only(Only applies to files in folder)' is selected.Deselect it by clicking on the check-box.

5.Select the 'Hidden' option by clicking in the check-box.

Now, we have selected hidden attribute for our file/folder.

To hide the folder we need to do some more steps.Kindly follow.

6.Open any Windows Explorer window and select 'Organise' option in the menu bar and select 'Folder and Search Option'.

7.Select 'View' Tab in Folder Option.Scroll down  and make sure that 'Do not show hidden files and folders'is selected.

8. Click 'Apply', and 'OK', and now your file/folder is hidden on your computer
